Craig & Craig, Inc. was started in Jackson, Mississippi in 1966 as Fred C. Craig, Inc. Fred Craig built an impeccable reputation for the finest custom homes in Jackson for over 34 years. In 1988 Thomas Craig graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Architecture, married Kay Kebert, and moved to Highlands, NC. In 1989 Craig & Craig, Inc. was formed and began building custom houses in the Highlands-Cashiers area.

I used to say that my father was in Jackson and I was in Highlands and we left each other alone and we got along just fine. In 2003 my father retired and moved to Highlands to be near the one child he was sure would be nice to him, most of the time. Actually, it is my wife Kay who is the nicest of us all.

In 1995 our son Samuel Battle Claiborne Craig was born and our world has never been the same since. In 2000 he met his match in our daughter Leah Grace Craig.
